DMR to start CPC Training
As we all know it is now compulsory to have a valid CPC card to work as a HGV Driver in Europe. To assist in this area of driver training we are in the process of setting up regular CPC courses to enable our drivers to be 100% compliant in the market. We have a full time CPC trainer to provide the courses at a local venue.
Having to complete 35 hours of periodic training over 5 years it is imperative that we are fully knowledgeable on where our drivers are at with their training, drivers can be fined up to £1000 for driving professionally without a valid CPC card!
The idea of CPC is to improve the knowledge and skills of lorry drivers. In turn this is to help improve road safety, provide better staff performance, more economical vehicle usage and improve the perception of professional drivers; skill levels and maintenance, career opportunities.
